Performing Drawology Workshop: Year 2 BArch 10.02.16

In response to John Court’s work, the second year architecture students chose to create a collaborative drawing using numbers, marks and letters in black and grey pens only. The first group drew a series of ‘marks’ in the form of straight lines on the 10m long roll of paper.
The second group added numbers and the third group letters (without spelling particular words).
The students appreciated escaping the anxiety and stress of the studio and found the workshop therapeutic, where they could draw without worrying about grades. They saw the workshop as a means of escapism.
