TILT Conference and ALTC: 17.06.25

TILT Conference and ALTC 17.06.25
Holly, Lois and Nanfe presented the 2024 SPUR project focused on, 'Investigating Collaborative Drawing as an Inclusive Practice,' and working with students as partners at the Trent Institute for Learning and Teaching annual conference held at NTU. We began the session by inviting everyone to take part in a collaborative drawing where they ‘took a pen for a walk’ and moved around the table. We received positive feedback from the session and Holly is now in the process of setting up a TILT group around drawing together!
In the foyer space, we also had a collaborative drawing stand where attendees of the conference were invited to draw out their interpretations of student outcomes and experiences from the past year as a tutor or staff member.
It was an intruiging experience to see so many individuals express a topic they would usually talk about in pictures and images. The stand was open for two days and over the course of those days, we had many interesting additions to our roll of paper which slowly but surely got filled up.
